The Rev. George S. Yandell, Priest-In-Charge
|
George became Priest-In-Charge at Holy Family on August 1, 2010, coming from Calvary Episcopal Church in Memphis, Tenn. where he had served as senior associate to the rector for 8 years. Ordained for thirty years, George has served churches in Tenn., Ark., and Texas. A graduate of Emory University and Virginia Theological Seminary, George and his wife, Susan, have four adult children.

The Rev. Dr. Charles D. "Ted" Hackett, Priest Associate
|
Ted joined the staff of Holy Family as Priest Associate June 1, 2006 after retiring from his post as Assistant Professor of Church Ministries at Candler School of Theology where he was responsible for giving Episcopal students a solid grounding in Anglican studies. He is an expert in the fields of liturgy and pastoral theology. He continues to preach and celebrate the Eucharist regularly. He is open to the possibility of teaching classes, and will also provide pastoral care at his office in our Conference Center. Ted and his wife, Debbie, Freudenthal are residents of Big Canoe.

The Rev. Byron C. Tindall, Assisting Priest
|
Byron and his wife, Anne, moved to the Cherokee County area in December 2007 in order to be closer to members of their families. Following retirement from the newspaper and printing industry, Byron continued serving as Vicar at Christ Episcopal Church in Denmark, S.C., for several more years. When he retired, he had served in the Diocese of South Carolina for 25 years. Before moving to South Carolina, Byron served four small mission churches in the Diocese of Central New York. He continues to preach and celebrate the Holy Eucharist on a regular basis here at Holy Family. He also assists in the areas of pastoral care and outreach.

The Rev. Deacon Katharine Armentrout
|
Katharine and her husband, Scott, come to us from Baltimore, in the Diocese of Maryland where, for three years, Katharine had been serving as deacon. After retirement from careers as attorneys, Katharine and Scott came to Jasper to be nearer their children and grandchildren who live in the Atlanta area. Katharine has a passion both for pastoral care and for outreach. We are grateful to Bishop Alexander for assigning Katharine to us. She serves God at Holy Family for the love of doing what she is so clearly called to do.

Mr. John King Carter, Organist/Choirmaster
|
John King Carter is a native Alabamian and a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College where he majored in piano performance. He has worked as a choirmaster and organist at Episcopal, Lutheran, and Catholic churches in Alabama and the Tampa Bay area, with brief stints in Los Angeles and Cincinnati. He has enjoyed some success as a composer and his anthems have been heard at churches around the country.

Michelle Roberson, Parish Secretary
|
Michelle, a native and lifelong resident of Georgia, has been with Holy Family since December, 2009. Outside of her responsibilities in our church office, Michelle, her husband and three children are involved in her church and community activities - especially scouting and water skiing. Michelle has a background in journalism, marketing and entreprenurial ventures.
